I have a vacation scheduled in a few months and I know I will feel overwhelmed by the second day. Can I schedule ahead of time so I know I have an appointment to get me through the day?

Yes! If you are planning an upcoming trip and expect you will need support from Peace in the Park, simply send us an email and we will work with you to get your preferred day and time on the schedule ASAP.

Is this service therapy?

Peace in the Parks provides brief emotional support and coping strategies, not ongoing psychotherapy. Sessions are designed to help with in-the-moment stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm during travel.

What do I do if I'm in crisis?

Peace in the Parks is not a crisis service. If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or feel unsafe, please contact local emergency services or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Can this help with family conflicts?

Yes. Many sessions focus on de-escalation, communication, and emotional regulation to help families move forward with less tension. Additional family members may participate if appropriate, for an additional fee.

Who will I be talking to during my session?

All sessions are conducted by licensed mental health professionals experienced in anxiety, family stress, and emotional regulation.

Can my children participate?

Parents may consult about their child’s emotional needs. Sessions are primarily designed to support parents and caregivers, though guidance may include strategies to help children calm and regulate.

Is this confidential?

The sessions are as confidential as possible, depending on your specific location at the time we meet. On our end, our providers will be in private settings where they can focus on you and your specific needs. We do ask that you try to find a quieter location away from a noisy crowd, fireworks, parades, shows, etc., if you are doing a phone or video session, so that we can hear you clearly and you can hear us. Text-based sessions can be done anywhere that is convenient for you.

Do you take insurance?

This service is self-pay only to allow quick access and short sessions without insurance restrictions.

Can I use this service outside of Orlando?

Peace in the Parks is designed specifically for Orlando theme park travelers, but availability depends on clinician licensing and your physical location at the time of service. We may be able to accommodate you at other locations outside of Orlando. Send us an email if you have questions about other locations!

Can this service help neurodivergent people?

Yes. Peace in the Parks TeleSupport provides brief emotional support to help neurodivergent adults manage sensory overload, anxiety, and stress while visiting theme parks. Sessions focus on practical regulation strategies, clear communication, and validating individual needs so clients can regain a sense of control without pressure to push through discomfort. The service helps clients work with their nervous system, adjust plans as needed, and protect their well-being while enjoying their vacation as much as possible.
